#1 Must Have While Driving
In India, the traffic rules that we follow are as per The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Rules, 1989. The first exam that one needs to pass when applying for a driving license is the online test. The test questions are based on traffic rules and regulations along with the good practices to be followed while driving. The minimum marks required to pass the test is 12. You need to answer at least 12 out of 20 questions correctly to pass the online driving license test.

Driving Licence To Be Suspended for Traffic Offence

The Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety has directed all state governments to suspend driving licence (DL) of traffic violators. DL can be suspended on several instances such as drunken driving, jumping red light, overspeeding, using a mobile phone while driving, overloading and carrying passengers in good carriages. Based on the directive, the Odisha Transport Commissioner has asked RTOs to enforce new guidelines. The state government has also directed for 100% suspension of DLs in the Sarathi database against any pending cases.
Arunachal Introduces Driving Simulator to Improve Transport Services
– December 12, 2020
Arunachal Transport Minister inaugurated the driving simulator at the District Transport Office in Papum Pare today. The driving simulator for cars and bikes have been introduced in Arunachal for the first time. The device will be used for training and testing of new drivers before the transport department can issue the Driving Licence. The transport minister has asked all District Transport Officers to get acquainted with the driving simulator. The initiative comes amid the government’s resolve to improve the transport services in the state.
